20 Dec 2021

Sailed three hours west in the Lower Keys and snorkeled at Looe Key.   We spotted a turtle upon arrival, but didn't get to see it in the water.   The video below includes parrot fish, tang, barracuda, lobster, hogfish, trumpetfish, french anglefish, etc. Click the video play button below, and then the full screen icon to see it in full screen mode (100 MB file so don't view on cellular connection).

6 To 9 Dec 2021

Sailed Monday from Boot Key Harbor / Marathon FL north/east to beginning of Upper Keys at the Channel Five bridge.   Tuesday traveled to Alligator Reef in the morning and snorkeled the reef.   Then traveled three hours north/east to Molassas Reef for snorkeling.   Anchored out overnight on ocean side at Rodriquez Key.   Wednesday sailed south/west to Hen & Chickens Reef and snorkeled, observing a wide variety of coral.   Then traveled south/west several hours to Alligator Reef (again), and then overnight at the Channel Five bridge.

Click the video play button below, and then the full screen icon to see it in full screen mode (126 MB & 155 MB so don't view on phone).   Try to spot the lobster, sting ray, turtle, trumpet fish, eel, nurse shark, jellyfish, and barracuda in the first video.
