Sailed three hours west in the Lower Keys and snorkeled at Looe Key. We spotted a turtle upon arrival, but didn't get to see it in the water. Sailed Monday from Boot Key Harbor / Marathon FL north/east to beginning of Upper Keys at the Channel Five bridge. Tuesday traveled to Alligator Reef in the morning and snorkeled the reef. Then traveled three hours north/east to Molassas Reef for snorkeling. Anchored out overnight on ocean side at Rodriquez Key. Wednesday sailed south/west to Hen & Chickens Reef and snorkeled, observing a wide variety of coral. Then traveled south/west several hours to Alligator Reef (again), and then overnight at the Channel Five bridge.
